Engineering Highlights

Built with Flutter & Hardware Precision

Every component has been custom-painted using Flutter's high-performance 2D canvas primitives for zero-latency feedback.

Horizontal Tachometer

Custom Bézier-curved slot with segmented vertical ticks and redline warnings. Designed to mirror premium race bike instrumentation.

Real-Time WebSocket Stream

Direct socket stream connection to onboard ESP32/microcontroller. Continuous background reconnection ensures uncompromised uptime.

Precision Gear Display

Instant digital gear tracking (Neutral through 6th gear). Instant feedback calculated from engine pulse and wheel velocity ratios.

Curved Fuel Gauge

Adaptive vertical curve indicator fitted seamlessly to the cluster's aerodynamic outline with reserve alert styling.

Engine Thermal Guard

Continuous temperature monitoring keeps you informed of coolant and engine block health during intense traffic or spirited runs.

Immersive Fullscreen HUD

Locks device to landscape mode, suppresses notification shades, and maximises contrast for crystal-clear readability under bright sunlight.

System Design

How NinjaHonda Works

NinjaHonda connects physical motorcycle sensors with high-level graphics using an ultra-lightweight telemetry protocol.

1

Hardware Pulse Interception

Sensors (RPM pickup coil, wheel hall effect sensor, fuel float) feed into an ESP32 / Arduino controller.

2

Telemetry Serialization

Data is framed into a tight 22-byte character stream formatted for maximum throughput and minimum latency.

3

WebSocket Broadcast

ESP32 broadcasts the data stream locally over Wi-Fi / Bluetooth to the mounted Android client.

4

60FPS Reactive Rendering

Flutter BLoC architecture unpacks packet tokens and drives 60+ FPS CustomPainter canvas re-draws.

PROTOCOL SPECIFICATION: 22-BYTE TELEMETRY FRAME

As implemented in main_data_provider.dart:

Parsed via: double.parse(v.substring(0,6)) etc.
Zero-Cloud Offline Reliability

No cloud accounts, zero data subscriptions, and no external internet required. Direct peer-to-peer telemetry right on your handlebars.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about setting up and running NinjaHonda.

What hardware do I need to run NinjaHonda on my bike? ▾
You need any low-cost Android phone or tablet (even older discarded smartphones with Android 6.0+) mounted to your bike, plus an ESP32 or ESP8266 development board connected to your bike's RPM sensor, speed sensor, and 12V-to-5V step-down regulator.
How does the Android app receive real-time motorcycle stats? ▾
The ESP32 creates a local Wi-Fi Access Point or connects over Bluetooth. The NinjaHonda app establishes a persistent WebSocket connection, streaming speed, RPM, fuel level, and gear position every few milliseconds.
Can I customize the maximum RPM redline? ▾
Yes! In the codebase (lib/home.dart), the parameter maxRpm defaults to 10,000 r/min and can easily be adjusted to 14,000 or 16,000 for high-revving sports bikes.
Is this static site ready for Cloudflare Pages? ▾
Yes. This website is completely self-contained with zero server dependencies, pure HTML5, vanilla JS, SVG vector assets, and CSS. Simply connect your Git repository or deploy the directory directly to Cloudflare Pages.
